Broadway On Ivory is a compilation of show tunes arranged by Mose Pleasure III for grand piano. These songs come from different Broadway Shows from the past to the present. The piano arrangements reveal the versatile style that he has. Mose Pleasure graduated from Dillard University in New Orleans Louisiana with a BA degree in Concert Organ Performance. Although he has a strong classical background from his childhood he began playing Black Gospel music during his college years from the churches around the New Orleans and surrounding areas. He is a former musician and member of the Gospel Soul Children, one of the premier Black Gospel Community Choirs of New Orleans. Through the Soul Children he honed his skills as an organist and picked up a lot of different styles from other musicians in the area and around the US as his travels took him. You will hear a lot of soothing melodies and beautiful chord structures in the ballad songs as well as rhythmic jazzy tunes when listening to this CD.
